Some overnight summer camps also have availability of video to get additional views of their children in overnight summer camp. For the most part, this is a positive experience for overnight summer camp and parent alike. Parents are relieved to see their children, who in the past they might not have had the chance to view until visiting day. In some instances though, a camera might get a glimpse of their child who might not look elated at the moment a photos was taken, or who might be wearing the same attire that the child wore when the last photo was taken. These can sometimes be stressful situations for a parent, then it is in fact a single moment in a summer experience that has no particular significance and that everything is just fine with a child. It sometimes offers TMI- too much information!
Parents should have confidence in the overnight summer Camp Director and in the selection of the staff these individuals have chosen and trained to oversee their child. They are professionals whose goal is to provide a safe, funfilled program for children. Parents are paying a very large sum of money for these directors to do a job. It is recommended that parents allow them to do their jobs!
Overnight summer Camps are sooo much fun. It is a terrific growth opportunity for children and is one of the only places and times in our child's life where they can have the freedom in a confirmed environment to spread their wings and fly!
